  1. No HATRED towards groups of people
    Priority: 0

This is strictly enforced here so if your post or comment can be interpreted as containing any sort of bigotry, intolerance, phobia, discrimination or hatred towards any ethnicity, nationality, religion or sexuality you will be immediately and permanently banned.

This might include: racism, xenophobia, sexism, migrant-bashing, anti-LGBT views, or any other form of hate not mentioned here.

  2. No POLITICS at all
    Priority: 1

Subreddits in which politics are discussed are overabundant in Reddit so use those instead. This is a space meant to encourage discussion about how living is like in areas you or the people you're interacting with aren't familiar with.

Content that veers into propaganda or agenda pushing will lead to bans. This also includes politicized history and colonialism.

In a nutshell, ask yourself "can this be regarded as political?" and if the answer is yes refrain from posting it.

  3. Be SPECIFIC
    Priority: 2

Be as specific as possible when you are asking for life experience from a specific country.

Answering questions with one-liner will lead to a permanent ban. Be specific as possible.

Asking "How is life in Senegal?" will bring you less answers than asking "How is life as a scientiest in Dakar, Senegal?"

  4. Use the SEARCH function before posting
    Priority: 3

Reposts are considered posts about the same area made less than 5 days apart, and they will be deleted.

  5. Keep things CIVIL and POSITIVE
    Priority: 4

This subreddit is welcoming towards all people, regardless of age, gender, identity, culture or place of origin.

If a comment of yours can be read both as a joke and as an insult we will assume it as an insult.

Be mindful. Treat others as you would like them to treat you.

  6. No LOW QUALITY content
    Priority: 5

Please be as specific, descriptive and thoughtful as possible.

If all you have to say about living in a place is a quick one-liner you should keep it to yourself.

This also applies to questions asked: be as specific as possible.

A good question is half the answer.

  7. No NSFW or NSFL content at all
    Priority: 6

This sub is meant to be a comfortable environment for all people.

  8. Use only ENGLISH
    Priority: 7

This includes chat/banter with fellow countryfolk.

Use deepl.com to translate if you don't speak English.

  9. No ADVERTISING of any form
    Priority: 8

We're all about authentic connections, genuine discussions and sharing meaningful content without the clutter of advertisements.

  10. No SPAM and AI generated content
    Priority: 9

Anything that can be regarded as spamming or created with AI will lead to removals and repeat offenders will be banned.
